Ofiaich Library & Archive
The Client
The Cardinal Ófiaich Library and Archive is a unique cultural and historic resource situated in Armagh, the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland. Opened in 1999, it is home to a number of specialist collections of national and international importance, relating to topics of Irish and ecclesiastical history.
Our Approach
The Ófiaich Library and Archive have recently collaborated with Queen’s University Belfast to digitalise thousands of historical records from the Church around the Partition Era in Ireland. Kyber has been working closely with the library and the data from QUB, and produced a new, invaluable online resource for historians and researchers. This new website contains a number of online databases as well as images of the original manuscripts. We have also developed a new online archive with dozens of audio interviews. The interviews were converted over to YouTube to get the maximum exposure of the new information.
